Heat Shielding
Why Do you need to heat shield?
To protect combustible materials.
Many walls (like plasterboard, timber-framed, or stud walls) are combustible., Log burners radiate intense heat—especially from the rear—which can cause nearby walls to overheat or even ignite over time if not protected.
Heat shielding allows more flexibility in stove placement, each manufacturer has its own combustibles requirements but when heat shielding we can reduce the combustible distance to be able to sit a stove closer to a wall/corner.
